Storytelling is my foundation.

I use narratives to transform complex ideas into learning experiences that are meaningful, memorable, and built to last.

I am an instructional designer, facilitator, and published author with over ten years of experience across corporate, hospitality, healthcare, and nonprofit settings. I reduced onboarding time by 50% at Pebble Beach Resorts and have trained more than 3,000 professionals through Queer Edge Monterey. Each sample below is grounded in a real organizational need and selected to demonstrate both process and outcome.

Video Tutorials

Video Tutorials

I produce training videos independently across a range of topics, including product knowledge, sales concepts, and technical software processes. Video is my format of choice for complex, multi-step processes that require learners to pause, reference, and follow along in real time rather than retain from a single demonstration.

This example walks Group Rooms coordinators through troubleshooting availability in Passkey, the web-based booking portal used by corporate groups to reserve room blocks at Pebble Beach Resorts.

Production Notes:

  • Voiceover, screen demonstration, and editing produced independently

  • Built on a live Passkey demo website created specifically for training, so learners see realistic scenarios rather than placeholder data

  • Designed with the coordinator's dual role in mind, addressing both backend configuration and the guest-facing experience

Live Training Facilitation

Live Training Facilitation

I facilitate across a range of formats including classroom instruction, workshops with breakout sessions and case studies, and lecture-style training with discussion and audience engagement. Most courses I develop include a blended learning component, pairing live instruction with SOPs, video tutorials, job aids, and practice scenarios.

For lecture-based delivery, I rely on storytelling to make topics personally meaningful rather than purely informational. This example is a 90-minute session on Gender Inclusivity in the Medical Profession, delivered to approximately 50 attendees at Natividad Medical Center in Salinas, California.

Presentations

Video Tutorials

I design lecture-style presentations for training that benefits from a structured, guided delivery with supporting visuals, data, and real system examples. This format is distinct from my interactive classroom approach and is used when the volume and complexity of content requires a consolidated, sequenced introduction before hands-on practice begins.

This example is a 158-slide presentation built for Group Rooms coordinators at Pebble Beach Resorts, covering the full scope of the role including resort knowledge, contract structure, and the suite of software systems used to manage corporate group reservations.

Gamification

Gamification

I design and facilitate games as a core component of my instructional approach, using them to reinforce content, build skills, and increase engagement across a range of learning environments. The games in this gallery have been used in classroom training, small group sessions, workshop breakout groups, and independent study.

Each game is designed from scratch to match specific learning objectives, and the formats vary widely, from gameshow-style competitions and card games to group activities and scenario-based practice. Topics span technical hospitality processes, sales skills, and diversity and inclusion content.
